Gary Guthman
Composer, arranger, orchestrator, and trumpeter.
Born in Portland Oregon. Studied under such orchestration masters as Henry Mancini and Don Costa (arranger for Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan and Tony Bennett). Winner of the National Championship for Bands as well as the Stan Kenton Jazz Workshop series (1975-1980). Has composed, arranged and performed for the “ITV in Concert Series”, “Celebrity Review”, “The Palace”, “The Tommy Banks Show”. Has written and arranged in concert with the Toronto Symphony, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony, Vancouver Symphony, Edmonton Symphony, Memphis Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Portland Symphony, Austin Symphony and the New York Pops (Carnegie Hall).
Mr. Guthman has cooperated in concert with such renowned artists as Stan Kenton, Louis Bellson, The Dorsey Brothers Big Band, Clark Terry as well as the Bee Gees, Tom Jones, Aretha Franklin, Paul Anka, Tom Jones, Burt Bacharach, Tony Bennett, Michel Legrand, Anne Murray, Neil Sedaka. From 1999-201, Gary Guthman was musical director for Michael Buble. Mr. Guthman currently resides in Warsaw Poland.
Doman Nowakowski
Author of many theater, television and movie scripts.
Born in Zielona Góra (Poland), he studied at the Faculty of History of the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Theater Studies. His first plays written for the TVP Theater were: "Ketchup Schroeder" (1997) "Mouth of Mick Jagger" (1998) "Some Species of Virgins". In 2001 "Some Species of Eagles" was created. In 2002 he wrote the script for the television movie "White Dress", presented in 2003. In 2013, “ Four Tons of Floor" premiered. The play "Mouth of Mick Jagger" was also staged by foreign theaters: in the Czech Ostrava (premiere 2002), in the Russian Nizhny Novgorod ( premiere 2003). He has also written over 700 episodes for over 20 series (including "39 and a Half", "Kasia and Tomek", "Bodo", "Miodowe Lata", "Camera Cafe", "Fifth Stadium", "Ocassion", "The Third Half Live", "On Knives"). "7 Sins of Popcoolture", receiving awards at several festivals, is his feature directorial debut (together with Adam Bortnowski). Working with A. Bortnowski, he made the short film "Some Species of Virgins - Part 2". Doman Nowakowski is also the author of the novel "39 and a Half - How I Met Anka", written under the pseudonym "Dariusz Jankowski", a prequel to the TVN series.
